Paychex, CPA2Biz Extend Key Strategic Alliance for AICPA Members

Next phase of relationship will include integrated payroll services component with CPA2Biz's Cloud Client Accounting Services Platform

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses, and CPA2Biz, Inc., a subsidiary of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), have extended their long-standing strategic alliance through September 2016. Paychex, a flagship service offering of the AICPA Trusted Business Advisor Program since 2003, remains the preferred payroll and retirement services provider for AICPA members and their clients through this relationship.

"Throughout Paychex's 40-year history, we have placed a high value on the partnerships we've established with accounting professionals to help them meet the needs of the nation's small- and medium-sized businesses," said Andy Childs, Paychex vice president of marketing. "By renewing the program with our valued partners at CPA2Biz and the AICPA, we are reaffirming our commitment to the CPA community, as well as strengthening our relationship through expanded offerings."

CPA2Biz launched the AICPA Trusted Business Advisor Program in 2003 to help CPA firms deliver enhanced value to clients. Firms play a key role in helping clients manage their payroll services, whether in-house or by referring clients to leading service providers like Paychex. Since launching the program, tens of thousands of CPAs have referred their clients to Paychex through the program.

"This relationship has far exceeded the high expectations we had set for it when it launched back in 2003," said Erik Asgeirsson, president and CEO, CPA2Biz. "We are now excited to take it to a new level with the rollout of a firm-based payroll platform which will integrate with our growing suite of cloud based solutions and allow Paychex to attract and engage an even broader segment of CPAs," said Asgeirsson. "We're seeing a significant increase in the number of firms offering outsourced finance and accounting services to clients, and payroll is a critical component of this service."

Paychex has a long-standing professional affiliation with the AICPA. In 2003, Paychex was first designated as the preferred provider of payroll services for clients by CPA2Biz. In 2005, the partner program expanded to include 401(k) recordkeeping services and was extended through September 2011. In 2008, Paychex was named the preferred retirement services provider for AICPA members.
