National Business Group on Health Honors Paychex with "Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles" Award

Paychex Recognized for the Third Year Running for Promoting Healthy Workplaces

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- For the third year in a row, Paychex, Inc., a leading provider of payroll, human resource, and benefits outsourcing solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses, was honored by the National Business Group on Health for its commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy workplace and encouraging employees to support and maintain healthy lifestyles.

Paychex was among 48 employers that received the 2011 "Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles" award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the National Business Group on Health's Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being. Paychex received a Gold Award for its comprehensive wellness initiative, which fosters all the dimensions of good health while supporting and rewarding employees for making a healthy lifestyle a priority.

        who coordinate wellness events at the branch level
    --  cash rewards of up to $300 for points earned by completing wellness
        activities such as fun runs, bicycling to work, yoga and other exercise
        classes, sports programs, and being up-to-date with preventive health
        care
    --  annual company participation in events such as the JPMorgan Chase
        Corporate Challenge, where 205 Rochester employees this year were
        treated to free Paychex-themed, moisture-wicking race shirts and
        post-race hospitality
