Paychex, Inc. today announced that Michael E. Gioja has been named the company's vice president of product management. The Paychex Board of Directors has also appointed Gioja a new officer of the company. Gioja is a senior executive with more than 28 years of experience in product management and strategy, as well as software and information technology. Most recently, he was chief information officer and executive vice president of products and services for Workstream, Inc., a provider of on-demand enterprise talent management solutions and services, headquartered in Maitland, Florida.

Immediately prior to joining Workstream, Gioja was executive vice president of products and services at Workscape Corporation, a private human resource services company in Marlborough, Massachusetts. During his career, Gioja has held executive leadership and management positions at companies including SAP AG, Fidelity, and PeopleSoft.
Gioja is a native of New York City. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Oswego.
